Friday, Aug. 24, 2007 casual get-together afternoon/evening

Friday, there will be a casual get-together in the evening. Folks planning on camping out can set up that afternoon. At NY CBR Rescue, there are 30 acres, a 2 acre pond, and a breathtaking view of the lake country hills in the distance. The Chessie Fun Weekend is open to anyone interested in Chessies. We can even loan you a dog for the games if you'd like! (And yes, if you own a non-Chessie breed, your fur pal is welcome!) Come for all or part of the weekend.

Saturday, Aug.25, 2007: Chessie Fun Day 9:30 am through dusk

   This is a great day to spend outdoors with Chessies and the people who love them! We will have games for the dogs throughout the day and a workshop. Enjoy brown dogs, great food, and a chance to talk with other Chessie loving folks.
     Start at 9:30 am: Games for the dogs
     12-1 pm: Lunch
     1-4 pm: More games, Water Race, Raffle drawings and winners posted
     4 pm: Speaker - to be determined
   6 pm: Chicken Bar-B-Q Dinner (slow-cooked over a pit), Auction of Chessie items, Fireside gathering at dusk

Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007: Chessie Fun Day 10:00 am through afternoon

     10 am: Demo on teaching a Recall.
     12 Noon: Lunch
     1 pm: Question and Answer period for problems with your dogs.

Bring a brown dog on leash or bring one in your heart!

Registration Forms
You can request a form mailed to you by emailing chessy@onlineimage.com or click on the 2007 Weekend Registration form (also at top of this page). We prefer that you register for the weekend so we can get an advanced head count to make our food/beverage planning easier. Or you can call to RSVP. Last minute visitors accepted just please call ahead.

We will have extra dog crates available on site for these who need them. All dogs must be under control. If you have questions, contact Sandie at (607) 535-7069 or chessy@onlineimage.com. Please book your lodging EARLY if you might join us. You can also opt to camp out on the grounds (see Registration form). At the top of this page, click on the "Lodging" hyperlink for motel/lodging suggestions and "Photos 2000" for a grin or two.
