Please contact us if you:
        - have a Chesapeake Bay Retriever needing rescue
        - would like to adopt a rescued Chesapeake
        - are with a shelter or rescue organization needing an evaluation on a Chessie
        - own a Chessie and need advice on a behavioral, health, or other problem

    Sandie Pappa fosters the rescued Chesapeakes and will gladly help any shelter or Chesapeake owner with advice or an evaluation. She is the point of contact for any dogs entering NY CBR Rescue or those adopted out into new homes. She is a member of A.C.C. (see Note below) and works with other NY CBR Rescue volunteers. She and her husband, Gary, take care of all of the rescued Chesapeakes on 30 acres about 5 miles north of Watkins Glen, New York. The property includes kennels, paddocks, hedgerows, fields, a big 2-acre pond and a breathtaking view of lake country.
    In addition, Sandie has over 35 years of experience with dogs including competition in conformation, obedience, and hunt tests. As the President and Founder of NY CBR Rescue, Sandie is very dedicated to helping Chesapeakes in need so please call or e-mail:
